Some problems still

I have some problems and some stuff unanswered last time.

1.) How to add the upgrade progress bar like when you upgrade from Tree of Life to Tree of Ages and from Tree of Ages to Tree of Eternity. I have no idea how to do this...

2.) Removing the build button fron my unit. This question was answered but if it is something without triggers would be good...

3.) Melee AI. Basically, its a melee map and the unit I'm creating cannot build stuff until it had upgraded to another unit... but WC doesn't seem to er... 'know' this and therefore they never develope... much... how can I fix this?

if you want you unit no to build till it beening upgreaded remover the build button if you can figgure it out :confused: and/or set the requirements for wut you want it to build to the upgraded unit that should work

meh, thats the thing. I don't know how to remove the button... I don't want to use triggers because its just... not needed...

is the unit classified as a worker? does he have any abilities? any buildings assigned for him to build?

and next time don't open a new topic with the same questions :rolleyes:

you dont need to have the box removed it can be there but just change the requirements for wut it has to build to need the upgared

I opened the topic with the same questions because the other answer was not what I wanted and its lost some where 9 to 15 pages away, and I can't find it... plus I need an answer to a new question anyways.

m the answer to your queries is

its not classified as worker, does have abilities but nothing related to building and I have already placed an ability on where the building button should be and there are no buildings to build so... yep... donno why...

what unit is it based of? what exactly did you change about it?
anyway would be nice to post your map here, really hard to guess this way.

It's an Ancient Protector, built into a new unit without the root ability, upgraded from an unit with the build ability.

Just type in 'warpten' (cheat) to speed up the thing and upgrade from Steant to Treant and from Treant and Geant and you'll see what I mean...

well your Techtree - Structures Built has a couple of items...are you trying to simply hide the build button or what? :confused:
anyway the upgrade progress bar only seems to be visible for buildings...if you turn your units intro buildings it will work just fine, but will also have side effects (buildings cannot be targeted by spells etc. unless you modify them).

Yep... that's the thing. I mean, the only problem with without the bar is you won't know when it finishes, but well, modifying it also causes a lot of problems...

n yeah, I'm just simply trying to hide the button.

    Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
