special effects help please

hey im trying to make quests in my rpg. The problem is i have more than one and when i use the talk to me effect it stuffs up. is there a way to make them variables or something. i think thats how u do it but im confused.:banghead:

Yup, just like this:

Trigger:
  • Special Effect - Create a special effect attached to the overhead of Villager (Male) 0292 <gen> using Abilities\Spells\Other\TalkToMe\TalkToMe.mdl
    • Set Quest1mayor1 = (Last created special effect)
    • Special Effect - Create a special effect attached to the overhead of Alchemist 0289 <gen> using Objects\RandomObject\RandomObject.mdl
    • Set Questalchemist = (Last created special effect)


Those variables are just ones that I've used with names that will make me remember the quest-giver, yours can say whatever.

Then when you get the quest:

Trigger:
  • Special Effect - Destroy Quest1mayor1


And that destroys the special effect saved by the variable, once again dependent on whatever you name them. Does this help? Or do you need help understanding how to do what I wrote here?
