Stopping the build animation for worker

I have a unit classified as Undead with the Undead Build ability.

#1: How do you stop the builder from sitting there playing his animation even though the building has already started summoning?
(I tried triggering it to play his stand animation once he started construction and it didn't work)

#2: Can you give the buildings their own build animation? Like for Undead it makes the summoning pit with spikes, and the Orcs have their scaffolding?

1: All i can think of is either order the unit to stop or make it play some animation.

2: You can replace the Summoning Animation with another model, I'd get into details but it is pretty simple.

try adding a wait after he starts building before reseting his animation

Event - unit begins construction

action - Wait 1 second
Animation - Reset (constructing unit)'s animation

There is no event that could detect the worker.

Constructing unit refers to the unit that is still being constructed
Constructed unit refers to the unit that has finished construction

That's why I hate constructions.

I'd rather us the Channel spell and trigger the building myself.

oh my bad

well it could still work if there is only one builder per player (as ive seen in a lot of td maps)

if there is only one builder, then set him to a variable, and whenever a unit is being constructed by the player, you can then manipulate the builder with that variable

It's simple. Just edit the Repair ability. Change the animation tags. Voila, a different animation!

As for the buildings: I guess model editing is the only option :(

But for Undead building, they don't use repair to build... do they? My unit doesn't have repair.

1. try basing your builder with the Undead Acolyte.

2. You have to make a custom model yourself :D
