Target spell that doesn't stun

You can use the channel spell, You may need to experiment with it but It is the only spell that can be edited to target anything! the only problem Is that it usually does nothing

channel is an empty spell specifically made to be used as a dummy spell

Exactly, thats why when using this It will need a trigger to go along with it.

Horribly made example:

Trigger
    Events
        Unit - A unit Starts the effect of an ability
    Conditions
        (Ability being cast) Equal to Channel
    Actions
        Unit - Set life of (Target unit of ability being cast) to ((Life of (Target unit of ability being cast)) - 100.00)

Ok here you go. Use Acid Bomb or Shadow Strike. Base the buff off something that you don't use in your map and set the duration to 0.1.

This is what I use in my map. The buff will never interfere because I only use it for plain nukes. Remember, if you base the buff from your acid bomb-based spell off a non-acid bomb-based buff it will not override.

Buffs don't do the DoT. The abilities do. Don't confuse buffs and ability effects.

Anyway, use Acid Bomb. And replace your DoT ability with Unholy Frenzy. It does DoT too. Unless, of course, you already used that too.

1st of all the topic is not about DoT.
2nd the buff DOES deal the DoT damage, if you remove the buff the unit will stop taking damage, wtf man?
3rd Unholy Frenzy damage doesn't kill the unit properly. The unit that dies from unholy frenzy is treated as if it suicided.

I have a very simple question. The fact that there is no such spell that nukes without a stun unless triggered, why are still keeping this topic alive? What's the point on that anyway?

Actually, the buffs are just things that completely adds the stupid visual effects and mini-tooltips (under the unit's Stats) of the ability. If one dispels the buff or removes it, the ability is then disabled. Even if you place any buff in that stupid Buff field of the ability, it really doesn't matter.

I think he was trying to refer that even if you put a Stun buff on Acid Bomb, it would still deal DOT or DPS, not really stunning it. As I said, it's really just visual effects.

(I'm not trying to rant anyone, if you think you misunderstood then I'm sorry if it seems to be insulting a such a way)

I was trying to FIND this spell. I agree with you. THERE MAY NOT BE A SPELL LIKE THIS, but I'm trying to find it! THAT'S the point of the topic. It can't even be triggered, I think.... Edit: It can Still...

Buffs are given an effect by a spell when the spell starts. They then act like the spell's effect. You are just stating the obvious things.

I wasn't realy talking about that ^^ but that is infact true. Buffs are NOT just visual effects man. They deal the DoT (and ofcourse, you don't get it at this point So I'll explain: Once you get the buff, THEN it will do everything I said. I was not speaking about the buffs in overall!), or do any other effect the spell gave them.

Let's not talk about buffs please! I know exactly how buffs work so let's stop confusing eachother.

I think you don't trigger very good, or don't know the possibilities of the warcraft 3 engine. You should get more experience in that, because:
Acid Bomb is NOT the answer here (I use it's buff for a DoT spell, meaning that I CAN'T use it in the spell I want to, because the DoT effect will disappear!!! The DoT effect from the OTHER skill, that you don't know and shouldn't know about!).

Or in other words:
NO Acid Bomb!

Or you want to try and PROVE that the buff doesn't deal DoT damage when you use it with Acid Bomb?

Yes I used it a long time ago for another DoT skill, because I ran out of DoT skills. I had to trigger it.

There are many skills in warcraft 3. I just thought that there's some skill that I don't know about (like I found the chaos ability not realy so long ago), so I started this topic to see if someone knows of a skill that is somewhere in warcraft 3 and that will do what I want it to do.
