Titles before Custom Titles

Okay, I'm slightly confused on this subject and how the titles before you're allowed to make your own custom title work. I noticed my title says "Veteran User" but I havn't been here that long, and I see people with much more posts than me and they have titles that seem to be lesser than Veteran. Is there any specific system to how these titles work?

The user title is based on the number of posts you have. People with more than 100 reputation can change their title to whatever they want.

Veteran User (Am I going to give something back?) 50
Regular User (What is Reputation?) 75
New Member (Don't have too much fun) 100

Member (Been there) 300
Veteran Member (Done that) 400
Junior Regular (Got the T-shirt) 500
Regular (I got over a thousand posts) 1000
Veteran Regular (Over 1500 posts and still going strong?) 1500
New Helper (I got over 2000 posts) 2000
Junior Helper (Damn I got over 5000 posts) 5000
Helper (Over 10k posts - Wow) 10000

I did the very first one once for a Joke.
but basically, if you have 2 green bars, you can change it
