Train Maddess Game Idea (Need FeedBack)

Hi, I am rover2341. Some time ago i made a game called battle Trains.
Where you drive the trains on tracks drop land mines and shoot missiles.
It wasnt 100% done, Because everyone took to long to learn to controls there trains.
Since then i have try d many things giving up on this game.

To My Point. I am considering taking the engine from my last game to make a new game called Train Madness. Basically there would be 6 mini games (like uther party) but all based on trains.

Games would include.
1. Train Dodge - You would Try to reach the end of the level with out getting hit by a Train, if you get hit you come back after 10 sec.
2. Train Dodge - You would Try to reach the end of the level with out getting hit by a Train, if you get hit you come back after 10 sec.
3. Train Race - This is based of the Uther Party Horse Race, you get 5 speed boost, use them wisely.
4. Dodge Mines - You can turn left or right. Be careful not to hit a Mine! (if you die you start over, on that level (the mine is not replaced.)
5. Run others down with Train - 5 of 6 players get to run, and 1 gets to send train a, b, or c. Everyone gets 1 try. the ones with the most points wins (tie = they both win)
6. Battle Trains With a simplified track system. (less fun but easier to figure out) Explained at top of post.



So my question is this, Is this game worth making. I just thought "hey maybe i can salvage some of my old game". or should i just toss my hole train idea in the trash.

its not just the idea which makes a good game a "good" game. its how you create it and how much time you spend on it. (believe me players will know if you have worked 2 days or 5 weeks. theres a difference.)

by the way, you know that 1 and 2 are the same right?

K, ill keep that in mind. I found 1 and 2 to be different. There are many games i think others would enjoy like some tds but i my self am not interested in.

And of course its more about the polish and Fun factors. But i just wanted to see what people thought of this idea before i decide to start on it or not.

I don't want it to be like my last Train game. Came out as planed but People just thought the game idea was way to out there.

well your optimism is nice but i think 1 and 2 are the same regardless on what you say...

Sounds like a neat idea, I wouldn't play it though (since I don't really play WC3 anymore)

O those, lol I thought you meant something else.

Ya they pretty much are. I might put one in the middle of the mix. But i think 2 of those are ok. even if they are pretty much the same.

The picture shows there difference. But basically your right.

Thanks. But Believe me 2 min for someone to learn to play a map, or to realize they should read the tool tips is way to long. Its almost upsetting that, its the main reason my last game failed. but that's just the way it is.
