Trigger Help - Soul Rend

So my ability is this :

Deal an AoE damage based on the # of corpses in the aoe, x 75 to only enemy units.

Code:
B Soul Rend
    Events
        Unit - A unit Starts the effect of an ability
    Conditions
        (Ability being cast) Equal to B Soul Rend 
    Actions
        Set Bsoulrender = (Target point of ability being cast)
        Set Bsoulrend = (Number of units in (Units within 250.00 of Bsoulrender matching (((Matching unit) is dead) Equal to True)))
        Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units within 250.00 of Bsoulrender matching (((Owner of (Matching unit)) is an enemy of (Owner of (Casting unit))) Equal to True)) and do (Actions)
            Loop - Actions
                Unit - Cause (Casting unit) to damage (Picked unit), dealing (75.00 x (Real(Bsoulrend))) damage of attack type Magic and damage type Normal
        Special Effect - Create a special effect at Bsoulrender using Objects\Spawnmodels\Human\HumanLargeDeathExplode\HumanLargeDeathExplode.mdl

Err change of questoins .
This shoudl have been asked "How do i remove corpses in a specified Area" ??
My last bit removes ANY unit picked..not just the dead. My only alternative would be to create a lot of dummy units to raise dead..but that's just laggy.

not a very efficient code.. unit groups leak so you set them into variables atleast.

Pick every unit in (Units within 250.00 of Bsoulrender matching (((Owner of (Matching unit)) is an enemy of (Owner of (Casting unit))) Equal to True))

should set that to a variable like soulRendTargets

set soulRendTargets = (Units within 250.00 of Bsoulrender matching (((Owner of (Matching unit)) is an enemy of (Owner of (Casting unit))) Equal to True))

then you can simply use:

Pick every unit in soulRendTargets and do actions

and this line can be changed since you already have all the dead units in a group just use your variable.

                Unit - Remove (Picked unit) from the game

change to:

after that just clean up your variables. other than that i dont see much else wrong with your trigger except maybe destroying the SFX after using it...
it should work fine to me... :confused:

Yeah it's just a very ROUGH idea of the trigger :eek:
Still, my NEW question is HOW do i get rid of those darn corpses.
At the moment, my line of

it removes ANY unit..not corpses. :(

doesnt your last unit group loop do that?

oh you used "picked unit" instead of "matching unit" when checking to see if they were dead or not :p

eh? that code you edited in the post above is different from the one u posted at the top?

because i caught that error as well :)

Even then it removes ALL units instead of just corpses

i dunno... (-_-a) seriously looks fine to me...

just try using the unit group variables and see if that works? and i just noticed your variable "BsoulRend" is an integer variable not unit group XD :p

yeah because thats how i store my integer value of "corpses on the group" for my multiper value for my damage.

you're telling me i should store all my "unit = dead" into a unit group and then kill the unit group ? Worth a shot i'll reply shortly

Then again i might encoutner future problems, as the unit with soul rend is a mercenary that you can get multiple copies of..and im' hoping that multiple soul rends wont mess up :) Another problem for another day

it should work fine with multiple units going off at the same time since you have no waits in your trigger, although its not true MUI, its good enough (although not for some :p) the only true problem i can see with more then one going off at the same time is overlap on the corpses, where if you have more then one standing together and both cast at about the same time...

but as you say another problem for another day :p :)

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
