you mean SPLASH damage?
You can change that in the basic attack, or add this unit the ability "Cleaving Attack" (This ability belong to Pitlord hero)
There you can change the splash distance, splash damage dealt, effect and more.

I am not sure, but I think Cleave only works for melee units.

In order to change the attack to splash for a unit in the Object Editor, you have to change the "Attack type" to missile - splash and then change AoE, damage spill radius etc. A tip is to take a look at Frost Wyrm or a catapult's attack or something and start from copying those fields
