Unit Making Contest

I am holding a Unique Unit making contest... this will be for my map and the 6 winners (yes that's right... 6 ) will get their name in my map (not a very good prize but hey ) and thier unit in it obviously.. and the satisfaction of winning and helping me out. I need one for each of the six races (which is why there are six winners) The races are: Human, Orc, Night Elf, Naga, Demon, and Undead.

Rules​

• You may make only one entry per race
• You must have at least 2 abilities for the unit (these are NOT hero abilities though)
• You MUST use a custom model and have a link to where I can get it
• You must write a story for why this unit is with this race (it could simply be because the unit is an orc... but if you said it was an orc that was captured by Night Elves and tortured and is now out for revenge... you will get more points)

Scoring​

5 points - Model quality
10 points - Creativity
10 points - How well it fits the race
10 points - Why your unit is with that race/It's background
15 points - (I know most people won't like this one) My personal opinion
20 points - Uniqueness
30 points - Abilities


Total 100 points




I will update this if I decide to add a rule/remove a rule or change the scoring.

Guys, stop making contests. We have enough of them already. If you really HAVE to, PM an admin/mod of the WE zone to make sure its ok.

well whats wrong with that they are all personally started and run are they not? It's not like I am asking you guys to help me in any way... but if it's really a problem I can go else where to hold the contest if you want.

Um... does it HAVE to be a custom model? I hate custom models. They (mostly) bore me. I was hoping I could use a hero from TFT and change a few things (I think you might like). I know I'll get points deducted, but he will have originality and a plot behind him and (maybe a custom, but definetely modified) new moves.

must be custom because I'm planning on using most if not all other models in the game. their are HUNDREDs of custom models out there to sownload (or make your own) you have to like at least one of them

no suctom models aren't everything... but this is the races UNIQUE unit... so I don't want to be using the model for another unit if you submit it with a non-custom model you still can win... I will grade the models you suggest IF I am not going to use it.. but if I am you just get a 0 on model... and then if you still manage to win with that much of a handi-cap... I will just change your model file

Now this is what I call a cheap way to get people to make units for his map... Rules are pathetic, and you are practically requesting people to make the entire unit, from model (looks) to abilities. Lame!

Hmmm, this contest is scam, Eilhal is obvious too lazy, or anything to do something himself, so he wants others to do 6 heroes.units for him, and what's the point of doing that when u wont even get anything like rep points..
Notice:

1: There is nothign stateing what the name of your map is
2: It specifically states:

this will be for my map

3: What's the point if your not even getting anything out of this.
4: If you state yourself u can download models/skins

, then why don't you make your own custom model / download a pre-made one.
5: People will be sending models that they like, meaning you might not like them either, so why don't you make what suits you?

But since that is 3 people slamming me for this contest I will take it else where... also it doesn't state the name because I don't have one yet... if you want details ask me... don't slam me... or here's an idea look at posts that I've made previously that are ABOUT my map...

I DO notice most of the criticism in this forum is NOT constructive but "let-down" criticism. People are afraid to make maps because some people just bash them and say they can't think of any better ideas. NOT good. NOT good... Of course, again, it's not all of you. But there is a select few..... By the way don;t listen to people who don't know how to create a timer window.

Now to make the essence of the PM I made towards Eilhal public.

I am against this contest because it is not a contest, infact. It is just a masked alternative of trying to make other people help you with the project, telling it just "in pass"... like "oh yeah, and your ideas will also be added into my map, except the fun of joining this contest". Bad attitude! If you want people to help you with your project, just say it, not mask it in the form of a contest. It is clearer and fairer when you say "look... I need help with my project. I need some ideas for heroes. Maybe you can also help me with models and abilities. Any help would be appreciated!"

I hope I made myself clear. And you can contact any mod you want. Threatening us with "I'm leaving the forums" is really pathetic. Are we supposed to say "OH NO... don't leave... we are sorry!!!"?!? Nice try, but you won't get this from me!
