Defi4nc3, back at 2006 there weren't any good RPG's nor maps so anything finished was actually worth playing. if you have reseave over 10k what about ice frog ? He should be catching up with bill gates by now.

Theres still no good ORPG(s) or have been, plus its not just Icefrog anymore (for a long time)... DOTA has a team...

I hardly see anything host on bnet but DOTA still, prolly the reason i'm back... I miss the days where my ORPG was always on the list... I intend to see that happen again~

Not anywhere close to bill gates but they do make quite a bit off advertisements~

The reason for the failure of ORPG(s) is cause most take ideas from previous games or thoughts or shit that has already been made... Nothing is really pure creativity...

The reason is that they suck. Or are too complicated, or have nothing original. Yours isn't anything special... or at the very least in my book. Listen, the key to make a sucsesfull RPG is to host it until you have enough players. They will play it until they get the best items and then they will forget for the RPG.

That doesn't seem like a very strong key :p

Atm its nothing special, it has barely any content, can't be that special.

It'll change drastically by the end of june...

And of course, I mean the only games really ever lasting are hard core competitive games and mmo's... I mean its common for someone to "beat" a game then not play it again...

All in All i've done it before, i'll do it again. Trust me, I know the real "key" to making a successful game :p

I code in many different languages I just happen to love the blizzard universe. I've made games for more platforms than just the PC.

By twilight do you mean twilight eve orpg? Cause that is a terrible terrible map. Lots of skills that are just copies of basic wc3 skills, lots of tool tip errors, and terrible balance.

This is half true, Simple games, as you seem to prefer it will all end when the best items have been looted, the complicated game have much, much more replayability, instead of beating a boss you can beat the systems, try diffrent combinations of skills, see what scales best, because no players really know since custom attributes might be at use and abilities scale with them, item affixes, weapon damage, weapon speed etc.

By this I also declare that one shouldn't be able to max out all skills, because that will 'force' players to experiment with diffrent combinations, somewhat like talent trees in MMOs, hence giving it replayability, but ofcourse a good butload of items is always a bonus ;)

This is also my suggestion to this map, systems are fun to play on, see how far they bend in your favor, before dropping you. Make it so that people replay to see how they can get "that class sux" hero to own the easy usable "this class is imba" hero.

Hmm, how do I change my signature?
  • tom_mai78101 tom_mai78101:
Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

@tom_mai78101 I must be blind. If I go on my profile I don't see any area to edit the signature; If I go to account details (settings) I don't see any signature area either.

You can get there if you click the bell icon (alerts) and choose preferences from the bottom, signature will be in the menu on the left there https://www.thehelper.net/account/preferences

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
