USB mouse/keyboard wont work after computer wakeup

hello,
my usb mouse and keyboard will not work after i wake up my computer from sleep mode. it seems as if they are not getting power after i wake my computer, because none of the lights on the mouse or keyboard is on. i just reformatted and i have vista fully updated, and i just updated my bios. and i installed the most recent drivers for my mobo.

help please.

Putting a desktop to sleep, in all my experiences, is a very bad idea.

well i did it all the time before, i reformatted, and no problems.

I would check out the power settings to see if there is anything for devices or other Sleep Mode related properties. It might cut off power to usb devices, or something like that.

Under each device, there's a drop down box that says allow the computer to turn this device off to conserve power. Tell it no.

i have them all unchecked and i still have the problem.
