vB JASS Codes?

I recently found that in this forum, JASS Code exists in that weird form :

function whatever takes nothing returns nothing
     call whatever() //endless loop
endfunction

I don't know why they are there for doing that so weirrrrd thingy.

The million dollar question.
Yet this has been discussed at least 5 times so far.
Currently the real Jass tag should be on pending. phyrex1an has developed a script and all, but we still need Kattana's permission to use it since the core is made by him.
