Werewolf spear system

Has anyone ever played werewolf trans game?? Well i was wondering if anyone knew how to make the spear system from that game.

Ok so when your hero picks up a bundle of spears, he changes from mele to ranged, each time you attack you lose a spear. When the spears are gone you go back to mele.

Please can someone help me on this?

Or does anyone know of an amo system? Maby something different, like your hero is already a ranged unit but he cannot attack unless he has amo in his inventory, so a certain item... I already know how to stack items, I just would need help knowing how to make it so your hero cannot attack unless he has the amo, and how do i make it so he loses amo each time he attacks?

I haven't played the map, but they could use the same way of doing things like orbs do, eg. enabling the 2nd attack for the hero (which is ranged).

I suppose you want the spears in the inventory to show how many there are left, so lets make that item a dummy item with several charges.

Then trigger it so that when you pick up the item, you gain an invisible ability that enables the hero's second attack. Another trigger that drains one charge from the Spear item each time a hero attacks. And of course a trigger that disables the ability to shoot if the hero drops the spears.

second attack wont do anything when the hero actually has a first attack. he will always use the first attack if possible.

what you can do is replace the melee hero with a ranged version of it if he picks up the item though this would be quite alot of work.

Replacing heroes is very complicated to make bug-free. It is, however, possible to disable the first attack and enable the second attack (using the War Club ability)

i think the war club ability (the thing of mountain giants right?) needs trees to work. seems even more annoying to me then replacing a hero. (well this depends on how complicate the systems around the hero are)

Hey the orb of fire idea sounds good, it may work but when a hero has an orb it will give him a ranged attack against air and not land. So there is a problame with that.

I need it to be ranged all the way around. I searched the fourms for amo systems but ill search again.

my bad. but its still possible in more simpler ways; for example disabling both attacks for the heroes, giving them an upgrade enabling attack 1, then replacing it with another upgrade to enable attack 2 while carrying the spears.

of course, if attack 1/2 is used somewhere else in the map (like normal Orbs) its impossible.

and as you said, replacing could work, depending on additional triggered systems affecting the heroes

So, disable both attack 1 and attack 2 for melee heroes, making the first one melee and the other one ranged. Originally enable an upgrade or an ability for all players/heroes that enables attack 1. Now, when the spears are in action disable the ability/upgrade that grants attack 1 and enable an ability/upgrade that grants attack 2!

Well, in Werewolf Transylvania i used the orb of fire, and i made it so the animals (boar, wolf, stag, rabbit etc) were all considered ancient. I then made it so attack 1 could not attack ancients, and attack 2 could only attack ancients. This is why you only use spears on animals.

However, from what your saying this is probably not the best method for you to use.

There are certain attributes in abilities like the dragon hawks cloud ability, the brew masters drunken haze ability, and the dark rangers silence ability that can be abused through triggers and dummy units to switch between melee and ranged attacks.

I think those methods would probably work the best for you. :thup:

I made the creatures anchient, and the attck type 2 target anchient. Attack 1 is not. I gave the hero the orb, i made the orbs targets anchient, and my hero wont attack.

I put a test map of it in attachments.

Thing is, your creeps must be "Targeted as" Ground or something as well, otherwise its not possible to attack. And your hero's first attack should have non-Ancients as an allowed target.

Secondly, its Unit Classification that must be changed to Ancient, not "Targeted as".

And I do not now what your map should look like, but should really both attack 1 and 2 be originally enabled for the hero? :eek:

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
