When did you get YOUR icon?

Today I got my sorceress icon and I'm hyped!
So now I'm wondering, when did you guys ever get your best icon?
also, what was your 149th game like, or 349th
i played 3vs3 rt for the first time and I needed one more win. The other team had a lagger and got disconnected. Then the noob left their team and the last guy was like
"I'm gonna beat you"
I responded "Good luck hehehehe"
"In a race out of this game"
and I had my new icon

I haven't had a 149th game yet.
Heck, not even a first yet.

I got my naga icon in an intresting random game, probaly.
Although I cant remeber it, I remeber having some pretty epic games, like one where I got BMed rushed and ended up sending a 3 grunts into my enermies base and killing em.
Another good one was were I got Wyrm rushed as human, but i had like 4 other expainsions, I ended up rebuilding my base, and sending out teams of morts to destory my enermys base whist they were rebuilding.
I adventuraly killed all they're Acolytes and there Town Halls, and then spent the rest of the game massing rifles and dragonriders to kill the wyrms, twas fun.

I got my dryad icon while doing 2v2 double ne verus ne and und. The game before we had played them them and been beaten by a und tower rush so when we played our second game against them we beat the tower rush killed the ne then massed bears for a revenge killing on the und player :thup:

I got my Blue Drake, somewere in 2005, back when people actually played ROC ladder.

I got my bloodmage about years ago simultaneously with my blood fiend one. I 'retired' right after when I realised that the Jaina required DOUBLE of the blood mage.

Ladder's a kick ass game, you guys sohuld start trying it.

Havent gotten a 149th ladder game.
Only like 40 which were almost all lost.
However custom games ive played over 25,000,

Anyone who plays ladder, can win ladder. I lost but when i did, i
copyed the winner's strat and use it as my own!

ladder is epic! If you play it and become good, it'll become epic and you'll have a lot of fun stories!

nice Blue drake sounds hard to get, TFT rocks with it's new units and heores (can't resist it over Roc)

But playing for pictures is silly imo.
I play ladder rarely (1v1 only), and only if I feel like doing so. I'm not that good :<

Ladder is really different from fun games. With the matchmaking system every opponent
is a challenge for you to a certain extent. Funmaps are more to chill out imo.


And Icons only show skill in a limited way. Simply because of the match making system.
It allways keeps you at 50%, unless you are really stupid. So after 3000 games you have the pick, it doesn't really
matter how good you are.

It really takes much skill to get beyond those 50%.
And yes I know, it isn't allways exactly 50%.
There are a few things that can change those values (ladder recet, xp decay (NOT level decay))

I agree playing for icons only motivates you so much
but if you get fun out of it then you learn how awesome wc's ladder system really is

i scout these NE guys who tend to tech really early and I tower rush their asses
since they dont have an AoW they can't make units and I own them
(they dont have AoW cause they're teching)
