Why does this happen?

I have a modified version of Life Drain (Dark Ranger) and the Allowable targets are: Air, Organic, Enemy and Ground. When I choose the ability and try to cast it on an enemy it tells me that I need to cast it on an allied unit.

Any Ideas why?

Same happened here but i fixed somehow...hol don ima get WE up and ill have answer.

Same as yours but different order. Did you change ANYTHING else or dose it involve triggers?

Try reseting to default, it might fix it.

and i dont have profesional experience, but if its anything like the attacks, there are two things you need to change.

Nah i just said them in that order cause thats the way i could remember them but they are the in the order you said. I'll try reseting them now.

Edit: When i reset it took "Enemy" out of the list :/

Edit 2: I just tried it and it still said the same thing

What did you base it off of? What exactly did you change?try to copy and paste the regular life drain, and start all over

It is the regular life drain lol.

I changed it so that it doesn't deal any damage cause thats all triggered so i can add certain things to it. The tooltip, name, AOE to 0 (previously 800 so i was like wtf?), level requirement, mana cost and levels.

Im gonna try changing the AOE back to 800 and the damage per second to 0.01

Edit: It can now target enemies but it only last 2 sec instead of 8 sec :O

Is your unit at full health? (Casting unit)

no hes had about 50 hp left and he drains 25 + his intelligence + whatever spell damage he has every second for 8 seconds

Is there someway you can set duration for the Life Drain? Try increasing damage per second, maybe duration depends on that.

Life drain is possibly the buggiest bullcrap ability you'll ever find.
Use Channel, and trigger it.
