SOLVED! i just used a chain of separate triggers instead of one large trigger and it seemed to fix things

- Unit - A unit Starts the effect of an ability
- Conditions
- (Disco Floor 2 <gen> contains (Triggering unit)) Equal to True
- (Ability being cast) Equal to Skip
- Actions
- Unit - Move (Triggering unit) instantly to (Center of Disco Floor 3 <gen>)
- Item - Remove (Item carried by (Triggering unit) of type Skip)
- Events
