Cool screenshot although the houses look a bit out of place. You should just line them up and possibly put some trees around them to make it look less bare.

You can just use CTRL+F (find) in the editor if you can't find a certain unit, ability, or anything.

Hmm, if that's a village, you may want to use dirt paths. Villages weren't very advanced, but walking around on the ground killed grass off.

this is a city, i was gonna put dirt pats for villages thou, ocne u leave the city the path turns to dirt

For the city, you might want to use Marble, or just Cobblestone then DEFFINATELY marble leading up to the castle, or whatever! They were too high and mighty for anything else

i tryed merc camp but it was to small and angled,


the set up , of the guild, is like a sqaure with 2 corners sorta rounded off, i was tihnking of maybe having a sorta big builgind in a corner and then putting like 5 practice dummies (hopefully theres a dummie model) with a few knights hitting them using the same idea that demon suggested with the rangers

How about you make the mercenary camp enterable? Like make its scaling size huge, like half the screen big, and then make it so that a hero can walk inside of it. There could be a unit inside the mercenary camp that you could hire units from. Not many maps have buildings you can go inside of so you should do it on your map (for originality).

hmm my original idea on entering buildings would be that a unit stands near door, move unit to region house

region house is in a corner somehwere made out of doodads and stuff but i like the idea of making the scaling value huge!!!

how would i make it so units can enter thou?

well ive just now discovred the trimmed grass terrain pallet (pallet? is that what its called?) and i was wandering should i make the hole town trimmed, or just the palace and foundtain area trimmed?

It's a texture tile or whatever you want to call it, but not a palette, which refers to the whole thing (Terrain Palette, Unit Palette, et cetera) as a, well, whole

Just the Palace trimmed.

To make it enterable maybe you'll just have to have them enter a region. However, for reality's sake, it's much better to teleport them a step as opposed to 200---that when you touch the mercenary camp entrance you'll be teleported through the door.

well i did a bit more terraining right now the current fighters guild is just a couple of buildings next to eachother but im gonn ahcnge that to merc camp soon

[EDIT] yea i sorta took a fountain shot of the same angle most of the changes where dont to the maing gate, and the fighters guild i added a tavern and at tht moment im working on mage guild (or arcane guild)

one question *cough* where will i find the sky thingy?
