Oh, you wrapped it wrong :D

It looks pretty good, but you need more than one layer.

The rockets ends should be forced downward so that they're the behind of the missile, if you know what I mean.

The cockpit texture should ONLY apply to the cockpit, which is the front of the airplane.

If you can fix those features, it should look much better :)

Gee, Rin ;) Why not start a thread called "Rinpun's Skinning Service"? :p People could ask ya to skin them stuff, and you could give it to them, and in return, you get credit! :D

Sqrage:Got this from the tutorial.

The Extrude operation can only be carried out on faces. Extruding vertices results in a mess as a point in space cannot be extruded. Selection of one or more faces is necessary to successfully extrude something.

After selecting the faces to be extruded then the selection of the extrude tool Left-Click and drag in a 2D viewport in which you can see the height of the extruded section. Precision extruding can be achieved by using the x, y and z plane value boxes. As surfaces are commonly extruded in only one direction, you will predominantly use only one box. The Auto Smoothing Group option will smooth shade the polygons after extrusion has been completed.

Alex: Thats a good idea, Rinpun you should do it and ask Darg or SD_Ryoko or TheHelper to make it a sticky. :D

Rinpun: I have no idea what you meant by streching and stuff.

No. its supposed to be an exact replica of what u selected, but a little disotred on the side contecting the two because of streching.

Yes and No. I start with a box with (if your looking at the top veiw) 3 blocks long down the right hand side with the yellow axis. with the middle being the yellow line.

PS Only work with one side. Casue you can select all of it and dulicate it then mirror the whole image. Thats how i got mine to be semetrical

TheHelper.Net..... i think i can get some help in that area from here. Even thou only Rinpun and Sd_Ryoko have been the only ones so far who i think can skin.

BTW on my model there are some area that dont get the skin on them and im kinda wondering why...

Actually, if I knew what programs you used to skin and if someone gave me a few pointers, I'd probably at least give it a shot :p But as it is, this computer isn't mine to toy with (even though I have WC3, TFT on it anyway ;)) And the computer in my room is currently not connected to the internet, so I can't do much at all right now.

Layers I would think!

I'm telling you, each separate layer object has its own skin. You HAVE to use that to your advantage if you want to make the airplane the way I think it should be made.

Sooner or later, I'm going to put this through gmax and see if I can show you what I mean.

By the way, if you want a camo wing, here is the tga for it. You'll have to use the extractor and save this as a blp though, because I don't feel like doing it myself :D

By the way, if you want me to post a preview of how your updated map looks so far, you'll have to point me out where :D

(I currently have the advanced farming town worked out besides the foresty areas, now I'm working on the outside of the human castle).

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
