[IDEA] GFX Zone Emblems/Badges

with the rise of some duel challenges here in the graphics zone,
i present this idea..

the gfx emblems/badges.

a kind of advanced graphics zone avatar,
a self signature,
a small sample of your work,
a proof of your gfx awesomeness, or whatever..

it's simple, just make a sig that contains some stuff about you..
(username, tools, gfx style, etc.)

like this:

Usage?

in contests, challenges, etc..

challenge/duel banners..

I don't mind it so much, but in the form of a sig? Is that the best anyone could come up with? Why not genuine badges that represent different things (eg: How many duels you've won, program of choice, tablet/mouse etc)

And perhaps maintain them in the form of a sticky, rather than have users attach them to all of their posts.

not ranking.. just describes/represents the user.

Hardly, no ranks on them, nothing of the sort. Its just there and tells people what you use/prefer.

That might be cool. the problem is the constant upgrading of the image. Would be anoying.

Not really. Link them all in a single thread, it's the users job to go upload them to their choice of place for an update.

Like I said, it would all be maintained in a single thread, a post, containing a list of users taking part in this 'idea', with a series of badges below their name. And above/below this, a key explaining the badges (what each one means etc etc)

keep the text simple..

its too cramped, and the font itself is bad.

You can read it because you know what is there.

The font choice is horrid, or try inverting the colors, do white text with black glow.

I think that would look worse, just do a simple white font or some light font, if it is dark. Don't use a black glow IMO!

Plain text would be better imo. Signature tags feel a bit corny.
