We STILL need to use a condom because HIV is just one disease. It's like saying we found the cure for the FLU we will still have to cover our noses to prevent us from spreading "other" diseases.

Nah, condoms are awesome. They have lub, so it is easier for some particular thingies that I just love.

I was just struck with a horrible thought:

A vaccine is for preventing a disease, not for curing it.

If they tried this vaccine on 16K people, does that not mean that they injected the vaccine and then gave all those people HIV? If you consider the above sentence, then that is what they must have done to test it

Read the article. They gave the vaccine to HIV-negative Thais who were at risk for HIV infection, and then tested them for HIV over the following months.

They also take away all the feeling. And you wouldn't need lube if you weren't using a condom.
