Is there a shape shift ability?

I want to make a spell that turns the caster into a Raven or some bird like it for 30 seconds. Don't know what spell to use tho.. suggestions?

wow... what just happened. i made it medivh crow form and change normal form unit to my unit and the game encounted a fatal error and shut wc3 down. ??

Wow. it happened with the night elf form as well..

hmm thats odd, i used a blood mage base changed model to medivh
have ability crow form
unit crow form all i changed was add hero inventory and set lvl10

perhaps if you changed "race"
or are using a "home made" model (one that wasnt ingame)
or if you set an "extra models file"
that might cause crash

if you tell us the customized data for your unit ill try to help

the base unit is furion but the model and icons are druid of the crow of wateva that unit is.
i did change it from night elf to human. so yea?
from normal ability to hero ability.
hotkey, the text, 10 levels.
think thats it

well im not sure whats happening then,
i tested my char w/ ability duration and race change, no problems
only issue im having is morphing resets level,stats and erases items

theres somthing else going on but im not there to see everything so its kinda hard to tell

yea it reset my ability's and killed the unit. real useful in a battle aye.. lol

yep thats the one

im prety sure the error refers to either
the origional form not being found
or more likely that the game dosent recognise the normal to hero abilty change

thats why i figure to stick w/ using crow form set as a normal ability

though it really sucks that the transform erases items stat gain (not from lvling)
and experiance

im gona look into the demon hunter mechanics to try to solve that part
but at a later date, (i jus spent the last 4 days using the editor)

Before doing that...I think you should give the suggestion in post #2 a shot. It guarantees no errors cuz its straight from a wc3 spell. Simply make the alternative unit flying and change the model, believe it should work. Only drawback, when the alternative unit shifts back into its original form, I believe there is a second where it looks like Illidan (evil form) for a second, due to the animation mechanics.
