Costum Spell Help

Can some1 tell me pls how to make for example Shockwave to cast on button press in front of the unit? I cant figure it out:banghead:

This kind of spell is easy... but you need to use triggers and dummy units...
You need to create a dummy unit
Dummy Unit = A unit without model(Set model to .mdl), no shadow, Has ability Locust and invunerable, Does not attack, Is a flying unit,

You will also need 2 abilites, a activate on cast ability that does nothing Like ThunderClap(for the hero) and the real shockwave that has no castin time and mana cost( For the dummy)

    • Unit - A unit Starts the effect of an ability
  • Conditions
    • (Ability being cast) Equal to Hero Skill
  • Actions
    • Unit - Create 1 Dummy for (Owner of (Triggering unit)) at (Position of (Casting Unit))facing Default building facing degrees
    • Unit - Add Shockwave to (Last created unit)
    • Unit - Order (Last created unit) to Orc Tauren Chieftain - Shockwave ((Position of (Casting unit)) offset by 100.00 towards (Facing of (Casting unit)) degrees)
    • Unit - Add a 3.00 second Generic expiration timer to (Last Created Unit)

should be

• Unit - Create 1 Dummy for (Owner of (Triggering unit)) at (Position of (Casting Unit))facing (Facing of (Casting unit)) degrees

or else it will fire the shockwave towards "default building facing", eg straight downwards on the map

Use the "WC3 GUI" tags, looks like the trigger a, the code looks like [ WC3 ] blabla [ /WC3 ]

Take "copy as text" on your triggers in the editor, and paste them in that code here

The thing is, give rep if you think someone helped you. No one should need to ask about it, nor should you give it if you don't feel like Im worth it
