Of course I already look and I'm not familiar of most of the abilities there, I need a link that gives their description so I can get an idea on my custom abilities, though its all in the Object Editor but it will take some time to know their functions.

Object Editor have description on skills...

A magical hammer that is thrown at an enemy unit, causing damage and stunning the target. |n|n|cffffcc00Level 1|r - <AHtb,DataA1> damage, <AHtb,Dur1> second stun. |n|cffffcc00Level 2|r - <AHtb,DataA2> damage, <AHtb,Dur2> second stun. |n|cffffcc00Level 3|r - <AHtb,DataA3> damage, <AHtb,Dur3> second stun.

@MiddleHanded
Post any sample, i will give you description by editor only data (name, fields, analog skills)

ofc there is some useless skills no one know how they work and what they do, dont post em, they anyway dont have any practical value.

LOL! No offense dude, but your making me laugh too hard.

I knew it someone will laugh if I post it like that, of course I knew that object editor gives spell description.

Well anyway what I really wanted to say is if there is some site or link out there that has a database on hero/unit/item abilities, like a SQL database where you can sort of what type of ability your looking for and look under what categories like aura, passive, morph, heals, gives armor/damage/stats etc... I think it would really help a lot rather than opening each spell in the object editor and reading its tooltip description :) Like me I only played in RoC and just custom maps on TFT, so some abilities that are made in the TFT is not very familiar to me.

It comes with practice... If you've played enough ladder War3 you'd be familiar with what most spells do and what their effects are!

that isnt neccassarily true, for example the "Charge Gold / Lumber" ability is not ever used in the entire game, most players do not even know such an ability exists.
and there are alot of information about abilities which are not revealed by the object editor. for example, nowhere in the entire editor it says that the charge gold / lumber ability cannot has any mana costs nor it does trigger a "Unit begins casting an ability" event.

and the moon glaive ability doesnt do what its tooltip says also, because that ability does absolutely nothing and writing this inside a tooltip wouldnt be such a good idea i guess.

so what the author of this thread was asking for isnt as trivial as some members are trying to make it look like.

Glaives bound to upgrade, its trivial to check upgrade too.

Exchange ability is really hard to use ever for skilled users, cos selling items or units much more effective and provide event callbacks everyone need.

Also some skills have viable alternatives, or semiuniversal skills like acid bomb (projectile, buff).

the point is what you said is that the abilities tooltip tells you everything about what the ability does, in fact, it doesnt. at least not for a few selected abilities.
and thats the problem for beginners, what you need to understand how those abilities work is not reading the tooltips, you need experience, practise, some time the only way to find out certain things is trial and error.

When was there a Charge Gold / Lumber? Seriously, I didn't know O_O.
