Right now, I'm using my left hand to type. I could feel some strange tingling feelings in my right hand's index finger. Currently, I'm resting my hand on my lap. I don't know what to do to make it feel better.

This is just a self-diagnostic assessment. Does anybody else once have a case of carpal tunnel syndrome?

You probably have cancer. And Aids. And any other really ugly disease there is.

No, seriously, go to a real doctor if you want to have medical advice, the internet is a nice place, but not for these kinds of questions.

What is carpal tunnel syndrome?
Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when the median nerve, which runs from the forearm into the palm of the hand, becomes pressed or squeezed at the wrist. The median nerve controls sensations to the palm side of the thumb and fingers (although not the little finger), as well as impulses to some small muscles in the hand that allow the fingers and thumb to move. The carpal tunnel - a narrow, rigid passageway of ligament and bones at the base of the hand - houses the median nerve and tendons. Sometimes, thickening from irritated tendons or other swelling narrows the tunnel and causes the median nerve to be compressed. The result may be pain, weakness, or numbness in the hand and wrist, radiating up the arm. Although painful sensations may indicate other conditions, carpal tunnel syndrome is the most common and widely known of the entrapment neuropathies in which the body's peripheral nerves are compressed or traumatized.

I have it in both hands. It's not that bad usually. Most likely you just hit your nerve or something. Or your hand fell asleep?
 
How did you got it? Are you sure it's not normal cramp?

I had the 'pre-onset' symptoms before. The palm muscle seems to be pulling the thumb inward whenever I stretch my thumb. The best way is to rest the hand until it gets better instead of continue to stress it on.

If the sensation gets worse, it's best to see a doctor. Get it wrapped up.

This is what usual freak psychology do to you when it takes over precedence in the brain. The symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome lasts more than 2 days, so I'm going to see if it gets better tomorrow.

Again, I'm not doing anything until something wrong stays wrong for the next couple of days.

    Yeah Tom, me too sorry for your loss buddy my mom told me she finds out her olds friend died from Google searching them. She had not talked to one of her old friends in a year and found out she died from Google. Also another one in the same session. RIP all of them my sincere condolences Tom

    We have some elderly guests that regularly come hang out at the bar at the end of the night, and every once in a while we don't see someone for a few weeks and then someone shows up with their obituary.

    We usually let them do their memorials there in the morning if they want to and I'll make them some snacks and drinks. There was one guy named Tom that came in like every night and would sit by himself and get a bunch of soup and a glass of wine. idk why but he LOVED our fucking soup, like he would order a fucking quart of it at a time and would always get so sad when we stop doing it for the summer.

    He was just such a sweet old man, we had two servers pregnant and they held a baby shower together, he was soooooo fucking excited to get to see a baby. Unfortunately he died a month or so before they were born

    So I decided to Google some people that I had not seen or heard from in a while and sure enough one of my old best friends, we had a falling out years ago but whatever, find out he died of Pancreatic Cancer in January. I have also lost a few of my closer acquaintances from growing up the last year. Getting old - people die - I kinda thought it was going to be this way a few years ago....
