Problem With Building Unit Height

I am currently trying to create a tower out of dragon whelps and for some reason I cannot get them to come out of the ground! In the editor it shows that they are in air, but in game they only half way stick out. Ive tried modifying the Movement Height, Movement Height Minimum, and Movement Type with no affect so I am curious as to where I am going wrong.

I don't know whats wrong but heres something that might work
Code:
Dragon birth
    Events
Unit - A unit enters (Playable map area)
    Conditions
(Unit-type of (Triggering unit)) Equal to Green Dragon Whelp
    Actions
Animation - Change (Triggering unit) flying height to 300.00 at 0.00
A unit can only enter this region once so its not buggy, but it leaks.

I just tried what you suggested thru triggers and it didn't work unfortunately. Heres a screenshot showing what it looks like in game up top and what it shows in the editor on bottom.

Try giving them the classification undead, I don't know...

Check the collision size of the dragon first and actually, this is certainly a problem of movement type; are u sure it is set to "Fly"?

or set to hover? hover allows unit to have the collision type foot provides, with a flying hieght.

Well like I said, I tried messing around with the movement type, setting it to both hover and fly and neither worked. The collision size is 72 but im unsure what that has to do with anything since if i build one of these out in the open it has the same affect. They are all currently set to orc but I dont see what setting them to undead would do unless you are talking about unit classification and not what race they are. I guess I can try that.

Well I just tried setting the unit class to undead and that did nothing. It was set to mechanical before since it is a building.

have u tried turning their movement type into flying. then giving them no movement speed? then there flying height? i havent seen that suggested in there. i just used a orc power generator in my custom boss spell and that worked just fine for me doing the same thing as you

*edit* ok yea this will surelly fix your problem i just tested it.
set movement to fly. then set its movement height to around 300-325 that should look just about perfect. and problem solved

Okay now this is weird, by setting the movement height to a high number like 350, the towers that are already placed at the beginning of the map look fine. BUT if I build one its in the ground still, this is the weirdest thing since its the same unit with two different heights.

Crow Form?

You cannot normally change a unit's flying height, but if you give them the ability Crow Form, you can (you can remove the ability right after you add it, you will still be able to change its flying height)
