A Barricade of Trees

It's basically a 1 v 1 melee map where you either choose to be the 'custom' race, or go against it. There will be a huge barrier of trees between you and your opponent, along with lots of goldmines and monsters along the way. (And by lots, I really mean lots, coz its a huge amount compared to the size of the map). The map's really just to test my 'custom' race, so the terrain and stuff sucks... since I didn't care a bit...

Anyways, here's the summary of the history of the race:
A long long time ago, a branch of Night Elves were attacked by the Horde. Although the gave up a good fight, they were basically massacred by the Horde. However, one single hero managed to escape, along with a whole lot of Treants that he had summoned.

Since basically everything is gone, except for him and the Treants so he used all the magic he can muster to make it so that the Treants can create Night Elve buildings and continue the Night Elve branch. However, something went terribly wrong, instead of producing Night Elve units, they produced Treants.

Since there was no one to correct this, the Treant Branch lived on, slowly being inhabitted by spiders, reptiles and all sorts of animals, until a complex symbiotic society was formed where they all depended on each other.

That's basically... the history of the 'race'. :) So um... now to get into business...

I need a few people testing it for bugs and suggestions/ideas...

played for a bit, this would make a good campaign, got a few bugs like
spider of the forest has a dodgey tool tip, says home twice, should look into changin that eventually, i know its not a big one
geants have create buildings(ability) but no buildings they can create, they also have no projectile with a ranged attack
i never figured out how to gain food.. so i couldn't test out a hero i wanted to get (needed 12 and i was stuck at 10)
also, the treants upgrade takes a little too long.. and its boring, i could easily write up a MUI trigger to add in some flashy special effects while they grow if you'd like

Thnx for the comment. About the Geant building ability... I don't know how to get rid of it... I don't even know why its there... :(

And basically all the Geants, Treants and Steants provide food. I think I should add that...

N whats MUI? This is the first map I'm making and I'm still quite newbieish so...

it seems that a Streant needs to upgrade into Treant in order to build. Also it take a long time for the upgrade and its rather expensive ( takes a lot of wood) and this makes the race slow in develpoment. Overall i think the price for everything is rather high.

is it possible to show the upgrade time? there isnt any when upgrading a steant to treant and treant to geant.

lastly do u want to include upgrades in atk and defence for this race.
I think its a great idea but its up to u :)

Its nice to have a new race, good work

Hm... I think that would be nice to increase the defense and attacks. N thnx for the comments and suggetions guys.

The race should be quite strong after a while, but at first,its rather slow. I was thinking that the race is actually over-powered, but seems as though that it is actually at a disadvantage...

EDIT: Btw, what is the tga format? All my screenshots are in that format and I'm not sure if I should just upload them like that or not.

EDIT 2: Actually, I'm trying to make it so that the race needs the minimum amount of trigger possible, so that if possible, the race can be transfered to a new map simply by copying and pasting all the custom units, abilities, upgrades and buffs... but I guess a MUI trigger would be cool, to make it less boring...

EDIT 3: Ok, I have came up with a proper name for the race, 'Azeduoria(n)'. How I came up with this, don't ask.

N also, you can either fight as the Azeduorian or against it. I forgot to mention... just change your team to team 2.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
