A new maze!

Hi i am making a new maze style map with wisp wheels, slide, boss, gates, patrollers, rocks and much more!

Name: Cold Escape
Suggested Players: 5
Tileset: Icecrown Glacier
map author: Mikke95 (me).
Description:

The 5 Shamans were in the forest trying to teleport behind the enemy's line,
but one of them did a mistake, he dropped a Ice Cream into the magic drinks.
When they were making the ritual they got teleported out to a wierd place and they're cold. SAVE THEM!!

It is work in progress and maybe i'll post some screen shots soon.

This is Level 5 the Boss level with the corrupted orc boss!
You have to throw stones on him to kill him!
-His moves: Nova, Shockwave,spin and mirror image.

Remember it is WIP!

Looks nice! I personally have never seen a bossfight in a maze, but I've only played Maze Of Skill so what am I saying. If you need testers I'll be glad to help.

I made a really good 3 level maze, (got bored making it) if you need help triggering anything I'm here.

(for sliding I have a 0.01 periodic event that has full ice control)
(I have terrain detection death trigger that still allows secret paths)
(I unno but I feel like there has to be a third thing)

PS: I haven't seen 1 maze with a boss in it so i thought it could be unique and cool

Well don't stray too far from the basic maze idea - People don't like that

lol, I remember when I went into the development of a project called World of Mazes (not maze worlds, that's by LimiteR, and I did not know he made it until i had already named my project, so meh. I got bad luck with names, lol )

Well, lol, that was my big time maze idea, but yours looks really nice man.

I'm impressed : )

Boss Fights in mazes are rare. Maze of Honor 3 had a boss every round. Maze of Sliding Koopas #2 had a boss fight. Maze Worlds #2 had boss fights. Maze of the Exhiled Ones had a boss fight.

But, hopefully you do a good job on the boss fight : ). You might want to look at the Maze of Honor 3 boss fights, those are some of the best. Maze Worlds #2 has even better boss fights : ). Maze of Sliding Koopas #2 has a pretty good boss fight.

Good luck with the project man. I'm sure Clan TDoM on USWest (an elitist mazing clan) will be excited to play your map when it comes out. It has some of the best mazers on b.net, and they're always ready for new challenges ^_^

Anyhow, I've only played Maze of Honour a few times and I hate it. So don't take example of it...

I'll try to give you some ideas from my maze though
-surprise units that come out of somewhere when you step on a region
-levers that change land and you have a short time to cross land (the people who played my maze really liked that)
-speeders on some of the ice (a section that makes you really fast by surprise


(and mazes don't take long time at all, I made mine pretty quickly..)

Yeah, surprises are awesome in mazes. In my maze, a grunt comes out of the first barracks, then the next, then the third. But when the grunt comes out of the second barracks, a peon appears behind the hero so you don't just wait for the grunts to come out of the barracks xD. That peon has killed many people

I came up with the land changing idea a looong time ago, when I made one of my first maps. I was making a maze... with regions *dies*. I also tried to make the lava periodicly shoot flames up, but back then I a) couldn't shoot the flames, and b) couldn't find out how to change the land type
So when I was making this map, I remembered that, and I remembered a few months ago findind the land changing trigger, so I implemented that into my maze

... K wtf is my problem I keep posting these super long posts today, normally I post 1-5 lines lol (mostly below 5, but the odd post would be long...)

Well i guess you haven't played Boss Bound then yet
