The concept is pretty much thought up for. My goal for the map is to have everything in custom models to give that C&C feel. Some basic ideas;

- Collect Tiberium to produce income.
- Fast gameplay, with some sort of balance
- Different game modes;
  • Control: Players will be put into teams of up to 6 and will be given 2 control points in a random location on the map. The more control points a player has the more income they get. No superweapons allowed. Once a player has no Control Points left he loses.
  • All Out War: Same team rules as above apply. Players are given a choice to pick from 2 factions, GDI or Nod. Once picked they will be put in a fixed starting location nearby allies. Goal of this mode is to crush the opposing bases while defending your own.
  • Veteran System
- Like in CnC games, after destroying x amount of units that give y amount of points(based on the killing unit's build cost), the unit will be promoted as follows:

Veteran: +30% damage, +10% attack speed
Elite: +60% damage, +20% attack speed, +1.5HP regen/sec, +10% HP
Heroic: +90% damage, +30% attack speed, + 3HP regen/sec, +20% HP

Calculating;
Points needed to rank up: Unit total build cost / 50 gives points needed:
Unit_A cost 200 gold, so 200 / 50 = 4
Points given upon kill: Unit total build cost / 100 gives points given:
Unit_A cost 200 gold, so 200 / 100 = 2
Kills needed: Points needed / points given:
Unit_A needs 4 points, Unit_A gives 2 points per kill 4 / 2 = 2 kills

  • Tech Level:
This system lets you pick from tech levels between 1-7. 1 being the lowest possible technology each player can get (I.E, Power Plant and just Barracks) to 7 being the highest (I.E. Temple of Nod and Commando)

  • Helipads
Added a WIP system of Helipads. When a helipad is built, it comes with a prebuilt air unit (Orca/Apache) Each have 5 missiles, once all missiles are fired the aircraft goes back to the helipad to reload the missiles. So far everything works correctly.

  • Short Game
When all of a player's buildings are destroyed, and he does not have a MCV, it counts as a defeat.

Veteran System Changes
- Infantry cannot be run over (crushed) once Elite rank is reached (2nd rank)
- Using mana as an "exp bar" to show your unit's progression through veterancy
- Flying units now give points but cannot gain points
- Added icons for all 3 stages of veterancy


Unit Changes
- Chinooks now require barracks in order to be built
- Removed Stealth Tank's HP bonus
- Reduced Medium Tank's damage by 5%, reduced attack speed to 2.5 from 2.25
- Light Tank's damage increased by 5%

- Economy buffed due to being nerfed too hard last version
- Fixed up the build system, still WIP

- Structure armor takes slightly more damage from bullet damage

A screenshot of the A-10. Now the problem is actually making a trigger for airstrike to work properly. AKA: A-10 comes from the opposite side of the map to where the airstrike was triggered, drops several bombs then keeps going straight and out of the map. <--- The current system I have for the Cargo Plane is roughly the same, but very buggy.

EDIT: Fixed up first post, A-10 100% complete, just needs a mroe suitable texture.

Please include Air Strike :)

I don't play Command and Conquer,, but I have the ... um... Windows 95 version? Which has Air Strike, Ion Cannon and Nuclear Bomb.....

I don't know any other 'races', except NOD and... GDI.....

Also, will it have any Laser Shooting Obelisk?

Looks itneresting otherwise....

He says he has played and owned all of the CnC games except for 3, so I think it will be like CnC. ;)

What teams will there be? I don't think they can match. GDI/Nod/Scrin would be one set, and the other Red Alert teams are different.

This is the original CnC, so before Red Alert. The only teams are Nod and GDI in that version. :thup:

Sounds promising as it is now, hope you'll stay to the concept.

If you're confident in finishing this I might be able to throw a helping hand at the coding part, assuming the usage of NewGen is allowed. I play on Northrend (Europe). As for qualifications, I'm guessing this would be the most recent, whatever caliber of qualifications that might be...

Hey guys, updated first, second and fourth posts.

First post was updated with some of the project's overall progress, including models and some credit going to Illidan(Evil)X

Second post updated with an incomplete changelog of the 1.04 version which I polished up today(almost release time!) And an updated list of the project staff and beta testers. I'll update the changelog with unit changes soon after I wake up, too tired now :)

Fourth post updated with the new loading screen and map preview screen, sorry if a bit blurry, I wanted to save space :p

EDIT: Will include screenshots later!

Hi. I have not read all stuff and members posts so sorry if il dublepost. Did you forget about sweet engenires? My first game and strategi whas Dune 2000 and the engenires are more inportant than some battle unites :)j. And one thing as you can't make map that will be more cool like offical Tiberian sun Firestorm, add more nations. That will make the map unic. The strategy that im played and it takes all my maind is Total Annihilation and i have create a map based on this story of TA. My map isn't strategy its AoS a hero battle like DoTA and that makes my map unic

There's a CnC before Red Alert, just called Command & Conquer, which has tiberium. Also, there is one after Red Alert called Tiberian Sun. Tiberium is just the stuff you gather for monies. :thup:

I'm pretty pumped to give this mod a go.
