[C#] Saving my game stats

Ok , so the general of the game is done.
When they press (start) the menu pops up ,
When they click 'Quit/Menu' I want it to save their vars ( Score , Lives , Level , Difficulty )
I have not a clue on what to do , to achieve a load + save.

All ive got is : A startup menu , with 'New'; 'Load' .
I want players to be able to save there data , and be able to load it when they want.

If anyone could help me come up with a Save + Load feature , I would appreciate that.

Im using Visual C# Express Edition 2008 +

If it is a xbox game, don't you have to save the data to a memory-card or something then?

You could always write the values of the variables into a txt file and get them out in the same order Don't know if it works for xbox tho

Ok , I get the idea , that I need to save some stuff to the game folder on the hard drive.

What I need to know now , is how do I save some stuff to an xbox 360 hard drive.

I still need :
Info on how to save data,
Info on how to load data.

Anyone who helps , is a very nice person

Can you write it to a txt file? Would that work for you?
Edit: I mean, is it possible to do on an X-box?

Samael's method will definitely work on a PC, but I'm not sure if it'll work on XBox. Ziggyware's tutorial should work on your XBox.

Your XNA version might be different from the one used by the tutorial, but I don't think that class has been changed much.
