Computer controlled unit behavior

So another probleme, i have this computer controlled unit (some cind of boss) and it has a middle standing point (where he stands when you wanna fight him), so you wanna attack the unit and the moment you do that the unit has to fly to a point left of him (made it with a trigger order unit to fly to region blabla).

Tho the problem is that the unit has to fly to the point when he is under attack.

What i see is that the unit fly's just a little while with just 1 trigger: order unit to fly to X region. but he doesnt actually fly to the point, but he rather stops and attack the unit attacking him.

So i try'd to fix it with serveral order unit to move to X point with 1 second wait times between it.

What i see now is that he does fly to the point but then he suddenly fly's back to his starting point (middle). (he usely fly's back when the attacking unit is out of range of attacking and try's to move to the flying unit.)

So my question is: How can i fix this 'Aggro' / 'flying back to middle point probleme'

So he just has to fly to the region stay there and attack ppl in range (changed his attack range to 10 000 btw so he always has a unit in attacking range).
 
1) set the aquisition range high aswell

2) if that didn't work

set his movement speed to 0 when he gets to the point

to get the time it takes him to move from his current pos to the point hes flying to use:

distance/speed = time

eg. 1000/310 = 3.23 seconds
 
I am not be helpful but do you issue order to MOVE to area? And then issue hold position order?
 
Even with acquisition range set to 10 000 and with max wait time between the move orders (even tho he reacts on attacks like he is being attacked turns around and then he gets a move order again and go's onflying to the region)

Though still with a hold position order he still moves back to the middle (his starting standing point) after a few sec...
 
I don't know but I saw in a trigger something like:
AI - ignore unit guard position

maybe that fixes it?
 
haha ye thx alrdy found it myself so easy tho still so hard ... gameplay constants - Creeps - Guard return distance :)

Prob the AI effect you said also worked since it had the same effect.

    I have converted the Headline News forum to an Article type forum. It will now show the top 20 threads with more detail of each thread.

    I do not see a way to go past the 1st page of posts on the forum though

    It is OK though for the main page to open up on the forum in the view it was before. As long as the portal has its own URL so it can be viewed that way I do want to try it as a regular forum view for a while

    Yeah I'm not sure what the deal is with the pagination.

    I switched it to a "Standard" article forum. This will show the thread list like normal, but the threads themselves will have the first post set up above the rest of the "comments"
