Intresting....i just wish if you had an item that reduced the cooldown by say 30% that you could set it, instead of making a whole new set of abilities for every character
I heard an interesting way to do this, which involved using the Techtree - Requirements field and dummy units. When the spell is cast, you turn the dummy into a Neutral Passive unit and start a timer that returns control to the player, with the timer length based on the caster's cooldown reduction (buffs or items or whatever). It would mean a lot of overhead for each spell, but you could change it easier than using a crapton of abilities.
If you want an item to provide a cooldown reduction to a specific ability, create two versions of the ability and give the item the Engineering Upgrade ability to upgrade the original ability into the altered ability as long as the hero holds the item.
Ghan has said he has fixed this. Monovertex please confirm this fix. This was only a problem with people that had signatures in the upper levels like not the special members but the respected members.
