Honest suggestion: Avoid trying to help when you don't even have an idea... It makes you look stupid (talking from experience)
I just tested the "aquired target" event and are you sure that's the best way to do it? from the looks of it my unit targeted 4 units at maybe the same time, or with a really low delay between each.
I believe that the event starts the A2 so often that the unit gets asigned to cast the spell before it can cast it again ang again.
Since it can't aquire a unit outside the range it can safely cast the the magic when the unit leaves the range.
That's at least my theory. If you've already solved this or this is pure bs then I'm sorry
