~~~ JUMP TO POST #20 ~~~
ok... i was making a custom load screen for my map using this tut
http://world-editor-tutorials.thehelper.net/loadscreen.php
first it told me
Your loading screen should be either 1024x768, or 800x600.
i used 1024x768
then it told me to resize it to a 512x512 square
which i did
nxt it told me to download the wc3 image extractor (to convert it to .BLP)
did that
then to open the 512x512 image wth the program but it wont open.... just gives me the error
Error while attempting to render, no image loaded for rendering
wtf mate? :banghead:
anyways anybody know what i need to do??? plz help... me a noob
Ok its easy, open the tga in Wc3 image extractor, go to file - save and change the .tga at the end to .blp. Then open world edit and import the 2 files, set the skin path to FullScreen.blp and the model to LoadingScreen.mdx Then open the loading screen properties, scenario - map properties - loading screen Go down to the check boxes and select Imported File, select LoadingScreen.mdx, then it should work.
If you send me the file, i can convert it to blp for you, what file type is it?
EDIT - Oh its 4 images? Thats alot harder to do, not much different either, i wouldnt do that, especially for a modder with such low skill at this time. I dont know the correct sizes and importing stuff for the high quality loading screens.
Ok, got the images, im going to convert them now :)
OK, i tested it and it looks blurry, i think i may be doing something wrong, lemme raise the quality and see what the problem is.
hope it works +++rep if u can do it XD
idk if this helps but... its off the tutorial
4. Convert ALL of the parts (make sure they are renamed correctly) to .tga or .blp TIP: I recommend .blp as its much smaller but there are more problems with it. 28/5/04 < I have discovered the problem with why some loading screen parts will not work even though they are converted to .blp. This is because: the .tga bits are not high enough, 32 bits is required, it hasn't got alpha channels. If you just want to insert a opaque alpha channel then use Wc3 Viewer to do it for you easily.
