Destroying Special Effects

If im not mistaken creating special effects and not destroying them causes memory leaks, correct? So, with a trigger like this, how could I destroy the effects without stopping them from showing?

HTML:
For each (Integer A) from 1 to 60, do (Actions)
    Loop - Actions
        Wait 0.50 seconds
        Special Effect - Create a special effect at (Random point in BlueRegion) using Abilities\Spells\Human\FlameStrike\FlameStrike1.mdl
        Special Effect - Create a special effect at (Random point in GreenRegion) using Abilities\Spells\Human\FlameStrike\FlameStrike1.mdl
        Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units in BlueRegion) and do (Unit - Cause CastingUnitX to damage (Picked unit), dealing 1000.00 damage of attack type Chaos and damage type Normal)
        Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units in GreenRegion) and do (Unit - Cause CastingUnitX to damage (Picked unit), dealing 1000.00 damage of attack type Chaos and damage type Normal)
 
For most effects, you can simply add a "Special effect - Destroy (Last created special effect)" right after creating them.
Dunno if it works too for that particular effect, but it's worth a try.
 
Ya, I tried that. Doesn't seem to work with flame strike, but works with the human building explosion, no idea why. Anyway, I guess i'll just have to use variables.
 
Prolly because the flamestrike effect takes a few seconds to complete it's animation.
 
That's strange. I've used Destroy Last Created Special Effect on Flame Strike and it worked.

    I have converted the Headline News forum to an Article type forum. It will now show the top 20 threads with more detail of each thread.

    I do not see a way to go past the 1st page of posts on the forum though

    It is OK though for the main page to open up on the forum in the view it was before. As long as the portal has its own URL so it can be viewed that way I do want to try it as a regular forum view for a while

    Yeah I'm not sure what the deal is with the pagination.

    It SHOULD be there so I think it might just be an artifact of having an older style.

    I switched it to a "Standard" article forum. This will show the thread list like normal, but the threads themselves will have the first post set up above the rest of the "comments"
