I'm not really good with the social dynamics of animals but I can assume that the basics are:
Hunger
Loyalty
Weight / Height (size)
I'm thinking about making a pet game. Its completely AI controlled. All you can do is "guide" it. Basically your playing God. Like in Black and White. You feed your pet every day (which could be timed as every 5 minutes etc..) and such. Feed it protein (meat) it grows bigger. Protein cost a lot though. You can go for a cheaper cereal food but they won't grow as much.
This is simply the basic of the game and I have the blue-print written out. Of course if I give you guys the blue-print then I wont get a chance to make the map myself.
I was wondering if you guys would think this type of map would be "fun" to play. Is it time for innovation and creating your own type of gameplay? Or do I have to stick with popular game type and try to clone DoTa?
My map, Project Golemz, is also quite unique in its aspects. I was uploading the map to the hive workshop and couldn't find the right category for it. But in its base, Project Golemz is just a "madness" type of game or in wc3 terms "footman wars". But the gameplay is very different. I built the game from ground-up. (with help of ppl from here of course).
Should i make a map thats proven to work? (RPGS, AOS, TOWER DEFENSE) or should i try to make up my own type of game and risk it failing?
