Dieing regions

im making a maze and when i set the regions so u die if u hit them it doesn't work :/

i typed:

unit- a unit enters [region 000]
ect.

[triggering unit] is equal to [Paladin]

unit- kill [triggering unit]

does ne1 know what wrong??? :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

It's the conditions, like this it will only work
if all of those units come there at the very same time...

You want this to happen for any unit, not all of them.

Fortunately, there's the condition "Or - multiple conditions".

It will look something like this:
Code:
Conditions:
    Or - any conditions are true
        Conditions
            (entering unit) = ...
            (entering unit) = ...
            ...put all conditions here...




Now, you could also test for:
Unit-type of (Entering unit ) equal to "Cleanser".

That would do it with just one condition...

huh?

i don't get what you are saying about the trigger things thats confuzing (this is my first map but ive palyed around alot so i don't know everything but i know most of them) but i don't get what u are saying

I understand that you fixed the problem, but i'm not sure you understand why it wasn't working in the first place. I shall clarify just in case

Event-- a trigger will start if ANY of the events occurs

Condition- Actions will only happen if ALL conditions are met. Your character wouldn't die because to die he would have to have been 9 different units at once. (I'm sure this is in a tutorial somewhere).

i have another question about the regions. is there a faster way than putting each and every region ont here??? or can you somehow like. puthem all in on catigory really fast?

Nope. Just copy and paste whole blocks of trigger. That's what I do. Once I have 10 regions set as death regions, assuming I need at least 10 more, I copy and paste and change only the regions in the drop down.

To simplify your condition, just put triggering unit-type equal to Cleanser, not unit equal to Cleanser <number>...that's inefficient. Or if, for some reason, you have Cleansers going through your maze that you don't want dying, put "Cleanser <number>"s in an Or - Multiple Conditions. But I suppose this piece has been totally answered by Acehart.
