Final Fantasy Hero Defence

Overview:
As you can probably guess this is a hero defence with a Final Fantasy theme. I am trying to make sure all the monsters, classes weapons/armour featured have been in at one least FF.

Progress:
It's still in its early days but I think I've reached the last Alpha Version (unless someone points out another huge bug to me) so look forward to seeing a basically finished version for beta testing very soon.

Features:
I am trying to be original so this map features a whole new ability learning system based around the one from FF9, more infromation on that ingame. Other features include:
- 2 Hero Classes
-30 Waves
- 5 Bosses
- Damage detection system so your damage appears above you like in FF games
- FF battle victory music after bosses :D
- 1 custom skin by me so far
- a Leaderboard
- New ressurection system based around heroes reviving eachother for more teamplay
- Vexorians hero selection system
- Much more which I cannot think of right now....

I finished all the waves now so it has now moved to beta versions. Link updated in first post.

I gave the map a little looksie and i was highly impressed. Especially with the hero selection which is very creative and well done. I also liked the damages above the enemy that you hit, it gives the map a unique feal to it.


Few things i've noticed: I tried to buy a mithreal rod as a white mage and it kept telling me that I was not the right class to use the item. This was probly because I had anouther item equiped, however it still shouldn't say that I'm not the correct class.

Anouther thing, is the map really looks bad in the minimap picture, it gives the map an image of crappyness before the game even starts, you should really put in a minimap picture. Also, there a few spelling a grammar errors through out the map.

Other things i've noticed is that game is pretty damned easy. The towers do most of the work for you in the first few levels, I could of gone afk and still have been alive. (actually I did to type this up. haha). Weaken the towers alot, :/

Few things on the hero learning system, I dont know if you intended this, but I was able to put an item on my hero and take it off right away but still have the ability. I was even able to cast it even though it sayed that it was still being learned.

Oh, I did finally die while being afk to the first boss. :( Towers killed the boss though, i wasn't needed. Nice gravestone markers. Wish I had an allie to bring me back, that is probly a pretty awsome game with a group of friends. ^^

Keep up the work, can't wait for the next version. You probly dont need the map protected either, people dont steal maps on thehelper.net. x.x I was gonna check out the triggers, was curious on how you did some of that. ^^

Thanks for the feedback. The first few levels are designed to be easy, just wait till later on for a real challenge. I'll definetly check on the learning system (that damn thing seems to break everytime I fix it) and the map is only protected because I used Vexorians Map Optimizer to make it smaller.

The thing is that it adjusts the enemy players handicap to accomidate the number of players and so if there was only 1 player the enemies will only have 20% of the life they should have. Try playing it with a full house, its much more enjoyable.

I'd play with a full house, but I have dialup so they wont be able to dl off me, :/
