food limit cap and expansions

I want to increase to food cap limit and to delete the minimum range of landing / building between a hall and resources when you expand. I looked about everywhere but couldn't find em :(
 
Nexus -> Movement: Pathing Footprint.

If you change this to 5x5 (Doodad) you will be able to place the Nexus next to the minerals. If you instead want to decrease the amount (or increase it), you'll have to duplicate the 5x5 (Contour) footprint and edit to your wishes.

but doesnt 5x5 means how large the building is? (because it is indeed 5x5)
 
Sure, why not.
The 5x5 Contour footprint has an invalid Near Resources flag in the Set One that prevents it from being placed near minerals.
Ok I tried doing that and it works perfectly for the Command Center and the Nexus but the Hatchery is a 6x5 model and it needs to be a ''Creep source'' Otherwise you cannot build a hatchery on creep. Is there a way to manually make a ''6x5 doodad+creep source footprint''?

If not, isn't there a way of simply deleting the ''aura'' around the minerals and vespene gas that forbids closer halls?

Btw I played around in the footprint ''object editor'' and god damn that shit is frustrating. I keep trying new stuff and nothing's working after several hours. If only they made this editor more user friendly.
 
i think i figured it out (after 6 hours...)

object editor is very unclear atm. i prefered the one in wc3

    I do not see a way to go past the 1st page of posts on the forum though

    It is OK though for the main page to open up on the forum in the view it was before. As long as the portal has its own URL so it can be viewed that way I do want to try it as a regular forum view for a while

    Yeah I'm not sure what the deal is with the pagination.

    It SHOULD be there so I think it might just be an artifact of having an older style.

    I switched it to a "Standard" article forum. This will show the thread list like normal, but the threads themselves will have the first post set up above the rest of the "comments"
