How many custom models and spells can maps handle before they lag?

I'm creating a dungeon style map, and so naturally I have quite a few custom models and custom triggered abilities.

I was just wondering how many custom models can be in the map, and how many trigger abilities I can have before the map lags because of it.

Of course, almost all of the models fall in the 50-150 KB range, and every trigger is leakless.

many imports wont cause lag, but will increase map size

triggers also wont cause lags

you can have as many triggers and models as you want, as long as you don't put over 1.000 models on the map or make a periodic trigger that creates 100 lighting effects per second

and that again, depends on your pc (I know that on my system 500+ footmans on the map = Warcraft 3: The Frozen PC)

how much lagg a model creates depends on two things
how many polys is it
how many particles is it emmiting and at what rate

then of course from there you count how many instances of the model are on screen and after a while with too many particles and polygons on screen wc3 will decide to spazz on you and it will not look pretty

Usually it wont lag, it will only increase your map size, but for this u can use WC3 Optmizer, but when using it remember to have a copy of your map ;)
