How to find your Internal IP address when using a router

For: 98SE/ME/NT

go to: start - run

type in: winipcfg (and press enter)

your internal IP address will displayed in a nice lil box :)


For: XP/2K

go to: start - run

type in: command (and press enter)

when the msdos window opens up, type in: ipconfig /all

the info displayed will look something like this:

0 Ethernet adapter :


Description . . . . . . . . : 3Com 3C90x Ethernet Adapter

Physical Address. . . . . . : 00-60-97-D1-A6-93

DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . : No

*IP Address. . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.13

Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0

Default Gateway . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1

Primary WINS Server . . . . :

Secondary WINS Server . . . :

Lease Obtained. . . . . . . :

Lease Expires . . . . . . . :

*this is your internal IP address

p.s.: method for XP/2K will also work for 98SE/ME/NT
