Yes but you can't go below it's level requirement.

Exemple: if the hero is lvl 2 and has 300 exp. You become lvl 2 at 200. You can remove up to 100 exp from him.

I have just tested it and didnt work! I tried to store XP as a integer variable, but neither.

you could try lowering hero's level (is that possible lol?) and then add exp again

You can remove exp. Here this is the trigger in my map that does so.

• Hero - Add (0 - ((Hero level of (Triggering unit)) x 25)) experience to (Triggering unit), Show level-up graphics

You can go lower... In my map I was level 1 and died and I lost exp and I had no exp and I went from 0 to -49087398723481
lolz but I gained some exp and the number went to normal.

Well actually I dont need that trigger anymore - I dont need my "Suicide" trigger as I have stopped all ways of being "Stuck" in terrain.
