Hi peeps i hope all of you are well. What my problem is, is that items a randomly spwned/created in a region every 2 secs but i want the items that are created to be removed after 5 secs. The problem with the trigger i got here is it doens't work very well as it either instanly removes items or it removes them too quickly or doesnt at all.


Item Drops
Events
Time - Every 2.00 seconds of game time
Conditions
Actions
Set SMASH_TV_ITEMDROP = (Random integer number between 1 and 13)
If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
If - Conditions
SMASH_TV_ITEMDROP Equal to 1
Then - Actions
Item - Create Rune of Healing at (Random point in Smash TV Rune Spwing <gen>)
Wait 5.00 Seconds
Remove Last Created Item
Else - Actions
Do nothing
If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)

Any help would be very appreciated and thx 4 u're time :D
 
Well it's pretty simple but complicated to explain :p

It can create an item every 2 seconds. But it takes 5 seconds before the first item dissapears.

This means that there can be 2 items at the time one get's destroyed. Leaving the other behind, without being destroyed.

Try avoid using waits in periodic events triggers of which the periods are shorter then the wait.
 
Do you know another way that i could do it with the item spwning at the same interval rate? i tried making a dummy unit that had immolation that only affect items and that didn't work it'd only attack units. thanks for your input :)
 
Item_1 is an item variable.

                Set Item_1 = (Last created item)
            Else - Actions

        Wait 5.00 seconds
        Item - Remove Item_1

I'm sure you have to do something with vars, think this might work... I'm not that good at variable stuff...
 
yea but that won't work either because the variable will be set to the last created item means it will do the same as what he has and in this case u need mui which means u need to use some locals (jass)

t is item variable or integer?

this great but exemple if in map have 200 last created item dont will be leaks? whats the amount when will be leakable?

    I do not see a way to go past the 1st page of posts on the forum though

    It is OK though for the main page to open up on the forum in the view it was before. As long as the portal has its own URL so it can be viewed that way I do want to try it as a regular forum view for a while

    Yeah I'm not sure what the deal is with the pagination.

    I switched it to a "Standard" article forum. This will show the thread list like normal, but the threads themselves will have the first post set up above the rest of the "comments"
