you don't care about the music, only the lyrics and voice?

Well... how do you want the voice and the lyrics to be, then?

I don't care about the genre, rock, punk, rap, emo, etc.. All I want is if it reaches to my liking..

You may post your favorites or those you have interest in then I may listen to it

I am not sure of what I am looking for (like Yellowcard, A7X, and Fort Minor have very different lyrics and voices and such) I can only know if I am interested to it when I have heard it.

Based on the bands you have put up there, you do indeed prefer a certain genre.

I'd probably suggest something along the lines of:

- Foo Fighters
- Metallica
- Red Hot Chilli Peppers
- Jurassic 5
- Rage Against the Machine
- Sublime
- Roots Manuva
- Incubus
- Nirvana
- Led Zeppelin
- Bloc Party
- Urthboy
- John Butler Trio

They are a mix of Hip Hop, rock, classic metal, grunge. But all of them have a unique singing style and great lyrics to their songs.

Since because most of the bands I got here are from one of my classmates, leading to his fav genre bands.. (A7X and Yellowcard are my personal pick, that why both are my top bands, I hate Linkin Park's shouting parts..)

And I am unsure if I want to listen to Nirvana (>'.'<)..

EDIT:
Oh I forgot to put RHCP and Foo Fighters in the list
And for humour, I put Weird Al and Tenacious D...

If you don't really like the shouting parts of Linken Park and Nirvana in general, then you have definately not listened to the lyrics. They are deeper and more meaningful then you may think, especially to a younger generation.

However i can see where you are coming from, shouting and stuff like that generally doesn't appeal to many people. If you dislike that, id go for something like sublime, roots manuva, bloc party or Jurassic 5. But then you would have to like the hip hop (aussie hip hop for urthboy) type of genre.

But anywho, im just giving a few suggestions.

EDIT:

You may also enjoy: Citizen Cope, Kings of Leon and Pink Floyd. And as for reggae, try Bob and Ziggy Marley.

Fuel is kinda forgotten, but they could jam with some pretty deep -but overdone - stuff.

Preferably, look on youtube for the songs Shimmer and Hemorrage.

However, if you simply looking to expand your musical horizon, the semi-latest album by Nine Inch Nails , GHOSTS I-IV, has some orthodox-challenging tones to it. Sadly, it is vastly over-produced, as no suprise, and becomes hard to listen to at all for those who appreciate mainstream instruments more than the sound boards and keyboards.

On the note of odd music, The White Stripes have to top my list of "Akward and Badass". However, the fun lays-in-the-fact that you cannot simply listen to The White Stripes. Watch them, stylilistically it's very entertiaining. I recommened The Hardest Button to Button or Fell In Love With A Girl. The latter choice being far more orthodox than the other.

Quick Lists :

Fuel :

Shimmer
Hemorrage

Nine Inch Nails :

GHOSTS I-IV

The White Stripes :

Fell In Love With A Girl
The Hardest Buton to Button

I would go with more of a single song approach... then he can look into bands off those songs.

Let the flames begin - Paramore

Dani California - RHCP

Empty Walls - Serj Tankian

Karma Police - Radiohead

Demolition Lovers - MCR

Furious - Ja Rule

Haruka Kanata - Asian KungFu Generation (yes, its the Naruto song :p)

Nikki - The Dream

Number One Spot - Ludacris

Dream On - Aerosmith

Diary of Jane - Breaking Benjamin

I'm so sure - Puddle of Mudd

Open Wounds - Skillet

Tomorrow - SR-71

Move - Thousand Foot Krutch

Hopefully you'll like one of those songs :D
