Maintain loading screen quality

I had imported a .blp 521x521 image that makes loading screen. But it seems to be rougher and the quality was worse inside the game than looking from photoshop. Can i make a larger size image and import? Because 512x512 image when stretched becomes ugly...

BTW, i saw some's loading screen image are quite beutiful, even a small word in the image can be seen clearly (*like DotA)...

Follow this tutorial. Use the second section on how to make a high quality loading screen. That is how maps like DoTA and Footmen Frenzy make the loading screens.
