None of them are easy, or all of them are easy. Depends how much effort you put into them and how detailed/original you want to be.

That would probably be a Hero Arena.

Why?

Well, all you need is to make taverns/wisps/anything else to let people choose a hero and the heroes themselves.

Trust me, as long as skills dont look like the original blizzard ones, people will like. They don't care if it is based of stormbolt, all they care is that it deals diffirent damage, has diffirent description and animation.

You might also want to make a leaderboard, wich is not very hard to make.
And terrain.

And, well... That seems to be everything.

Easiest map to make is with out a doubt a normal melee map. Just do the terrain, add some neutral creeps, and double click some of 'em to make them drop items.

I didn't read the post, I just voted and replied... bummer. If by tag you mean sheep tag, tree tag etc. then my vote goes for tag. Else, arena.

personally i think that mazes, hero arenas and AOS's are the easiest

but i voted for hero arena because:

AOS usually need a lot of importing and custom spells.

Mazes and Hero Arenas are the easiest but Hero Arena is on the list and if you saw that other won you would probably be like "what is other??"

so Hero arena because all you do is a tavern and wisps and stuffs, then possibly trap triggers which are fun and easy to make :D

TDs are not hard to make you need: a tech tree for each tower builder. Lives Trigger and variable, Unit Type variable. Spawn Script and what have you. It becomes more complicated with trigger spells and runner abilities.

I voted Other, because you shouldn't constrict your choices to six kinds of maps. What I think you should do is, open WE, close everything else, maybe turn on some music, and think. What sort of map do you want to map? Do you want a session to last 5 minutes, or do you want it to last an hour? Or more? Do you want, say, a hero-based game, where each player has their own hero? Think of some possibilities you can do with that. Or, maybe you want each player to control more than one unit, and manipulate them to beat the game, or defeat other players? It's all up to you, you're the designer, you get to pick what kind of map you are going to make. My point is don't limit yourself to, like, six.

Wait til you're properly inspired before starting, because it sucks having to change everything when that great idea hits you...

Easiest map to make is a normal maze map, no ability triggers, just region and patrol/attack ground triggers. Easy.

RPG has to be the hardist. You have to make every unit and testing takes for ever. Tag is the easiest, no doubt.

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
