Mini-Tut: Engineering Upgrades [MODIFIED]
What is Engineering Upgrade?
Engineering Upgrade is an ability that allows to upgrade up to three abilities, and also have two data that give increased damage and movement speed.
Table of Contents:
1. What to do
2. Create/Working on Windwalk Abilities
3. Working on Engineering Upgrade
4. You're Done!
First, look for Engineering Upgrade. It is founded under Neutral Hostile - Heroes, then click any ability, press E, it will take you to Engineering Upgrade. Now, copy and paste it OR you can skip the part by creating a new ability based on Engineering Upgrade. Now, create a new ability. Anything is fine, and I will pick Windwalk. After you're done, follow the next step.
I will create one windwalk. Set it to be as much as anything you want, for I am willing to leave them normally.
Here's a original Windwalk's data:
Level 1 - Backstab Damage - 40
Level 2 - Backstab Damage - 70
Level 3 - Backstab Damage - 100
Level 1 - Movement Speed - 0.10
Level 2 - Movement Speed - 0.40
Level 3 - Movement Speed - 0.70
Level 1 - Duration - 20 seconds
Level 2 - Duration - 40 seconds
Level 3- Duration - 60 seconds
Now, then copy and paste your windwalk ability, and make it slightly better as a strong version. I will be setting as a slightly strong version below:
Level 1 - Backstab Damage - 45
Level 2 - Backstab Damage - 75
Level 3 - Backstab Damage - 110
Level 1 - Movement Speed - 0.20
Level 2 - Movement Speed - 0.60
Level 3 - Movement Speed - 0.90
Level 1 - Duration - 25 seconds
Level 2 - Duration - 50 seconds
Level 3- Duration - 75 seconds
And so on. Don't make this too stronger, just add some good numbers, whatever you want. Also, set the Editor Suffix for each Windwalk. I am going to set on the original to: (Normal) and other slightly stronger version to: (Upgrade Level 1) OR (Upgrade 1).
We're so close to the final, we'll need to modify the data on Engineering Upgrade if you are done with two Windwalk abilities.
Change anything you want, and also take the abilities out of these data:
Level 1 - Data - Ability Upgrade: Pocket Factory, Pocket Factory (Level 1) Or as screenshot shown below:
Do that to rest of the Ability upgrades. After that, let's begin.
Go to the Level 1 - Data - Ability Upgrade, then put your abilities there. Must be like this:
Windwalk (Normal)
Windwalk (Upgrade Level 1)
Then, next Level 2 - Data - Ability Upgrade, do that too:
Windwalk (Upgrade Level 1)
Windwalk (Upgrade Level 2)
And so on Level 3 - Data - Ability Upgrade. OR, set it to NONE by removing these abilities off the data.
There are 12 Level Data (if your Engineering Upgrade is Level 3), each 3 is focused on an ability.
Remember this tooltip:
Enhances other Tinker abilities with each level learned:
Cluster Rockets - Larger Area.
Pocket Factory - Builds Clockwerk Goblins more quickly.
Robo-Goblin - Increases armor and Strength; enhances Demolish.
Yes, you're done! Test your map, then see your ability automatically upgrade to a new ability than a silly, hard, and most leaky triggers.
Any questions? Feel free to post.
