My answer to hosting on warcraft 3

If anybody can't host a game on wc3, ill tell u how. Wat i did was downloaded utorrent, which u can search up on google. Then on utorrent, i went to options, then to preferences. Then it shows u a port number. Change the number to 6112. Make sure the the random port number each time checkbox is not checked. Then click apply then Ok, then minimize utorrent. Everytime u turn on ur computer, u have to make sure to run utorrent or u wont be able to host.

I'm sorry, but this is a highly incomplete, and ineffective guide to hosting. You don't need to open uTorrent. You just have to configure your firewall to allow the ports you need through. And make sure that your router isn't interfering with people connecting to you. What you're telling us how to do is how to open 1 port through an external application and frankly, it's a waste of memory and highly inefficient.

Because a clumsy hack is a much better fix than simply forwarding your ports.
