"Nearby Patron"

my tavern needs a nearby patron but i cannot afford to make a unit stand next to the tavern to activate that.. is there a way to turn off the need for a nearby patron? thxxxx :banghead:

Look at the abilities. I think it has to do with Share Unit or Pick Unit or something like that that occurs in shops.

Something you might want to do is create an invisible unit or something alphaed, if possible.

Uh...it...uh...erases the polygons (or pieces of them) it is painted on.

Doesn't matter, I'll be leaving now. Figure out the problem on your own--I do hope you realize there's something called an object editor/ability editor if you have TFT.

Alpha is the transparency of an object. He is saying create a unit that is transparent (invisible) and put it by the shop.

Zxi you have been asking way too many questions and by what I see your not trying to go and learn on your own first. Try just looking around in the tutorials and editing maps on your own for a while, or at the least show some effort in accomplishing this questions you alwase seem to have.

make a unit invisible, and make it have ability locust and tatda you have a unit that is NEVER activated execpt to be a nearby patron, but it will still count as a unit, so if you want a player to lose when they have no more units/buildings make a trigger kill/remove this unit when the buildings/units reach 1

You should be able to change the range of the nearby hero ability, set this reaaally big and it might work?

just make a ... unit which you won't use... a soul or something like that
give it a normal ability to have a inventory (hero) ... that will make it a patron
next... make it move speed = 0 ... so it doesn't move...
make it invulnerable... so it can't be killed...
set he's range so that from that spot he can reach all the hero shops...
next
make him unselectable... and then transparent...
you won't see him
you can't select him...
and can't kill him...

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
