There are a few things I need to know how to get the AI to do, but I always have trouble with getting the AI to do anything in particular. Does anyone know of a good AI tutorial that could help me accomplish these things?
First, I need to know how to make a smart AI, that would be capable of surviving. It needs to:
A. Be able to retreat if it is in danger. (life less than 50%)
B. Be able to seek out and use specific item types and/or classes of items.
C. Be able to retreat at certain times of the day, and coordinate attacks with fellow units.
D. React appropriately toward enemy AI units. Either avoiding them completely, or perhaps even picking at the enemy, even if they know they can wipe them out.
E. Be able to seek out particular units, take possession of them, and then return them to another area.
I'm quite comfortable with the GUI, and can accomplish almost anything I can think of using the triggers, but getting the computer AI to do things always gives me trouble...
