Need Hero / Spell Ideas! :)

Hey guys, as the title says, I'd like some original Hero ideas and/or Spell Ideas, the spells can be anything, at all, just some ideas :) Thanks guys, go wild.

well if you want original just play through some campaign or add all the heros in the game to your map and use those :p unless you know that but can't decide between any of the big list of spells available...

Is there any theme? It's kind of hard to think of ideas if there isn't a certain limit.

Cast a portal and bash a unit into it. The hero has to fight his way out of a small world with zombies or whichever unit of your choice. The hero has puny sight range in the portal world. The amount of damage depends on how much health he returned with.

I have never seen a Thunder Lizard hero :D

I am thinking of one passive ability or maybe an "arrow" ability making his attack bounce (actually making each attack look like a lightning bolt spell), one Slam ability (basically Thunder Clap), something more really different and eye-candish (like a charge skill with lightning shooting all over or something) and then simply Stampede as an ultimate :eek:

But then, I agree with KaerfNomekop that for useful ideas, give us a theme or at least the kind of map you are making!

Well, there really is no theme, its a map in which I'm using heroes, like I am going to have a native american with some skills, There is no limit, there can be a theme if you want to, Souls, Forests, That such, but, Its true, I've never seen a thunder lizard either, and those are some good ideas, +Rep

Here's a couple of ideas, taken from my current project:

Overload

Overloads the target unit with extra mana for X seconds. If the target is an enemy, any unused mana after X seconds will combust, dealing damage to the target.

Meditation

Channels for several seconds, regenerating hitpoints at the cost of mana each second.

Magic Shield

When activated, absorbs up to X incoming damage. Lasts up to X seconds or until the maximum absorb amount is reached.

Fireball

The caster channels for several seconds, slowly forming a powerful ball of flame that he will cast at a target. When released, the fireball will deal damage in an area. The damage and AOE of the fireball increases the longer the caster channels.

Plague

Afflicts a target unit with the plague, causing them to take magic damage for X seconds. Any enemy unit that comes in contact with the Plague will also become plagued.

Just some ideas. :thup:

Unholy Summoner
model=Acolyte/Heretic
attack type= ranged, 600-700
base attribute= intelligence
attributes=based on the way your making the map

Summon tower of torture 3 lvls
Summon Tower of turture (slightly smaller version of the Slaugterhouse)
The tower emits an aura that scares nearby enemies, causing them to attack slower (or take more damage, use devotion aura with negitive values) and can cast bloodlust that +5/10/15% attack speed on friendly units every 8/7/6 seconds (base ability could be either a summon or a build tiny building item ability)

Blackout 3lvls
causes target to have 30/40/50% reduced movement speed and the owners screen becomes darkened for 3/5/7 seconds (triggered screen darkening using fade filters, base ability could be slow)

Summon Rift 3lvls
cretes a portal that lets an evil weak/avrg/strong unit every x seconds (triggered, trigger portal creation, add to unit group, (3 unit groups, one for weak/avrg/stong) and trigger "every x seconds" create a weak/avrg/strong unit at position of the portal units.

Apocolypse (ultimate, 1lvls)
creates 4/6/8 fires (units with triggered creation, locust, an immolation abilitie) in 300/400/500 range of the caster, also summon 4 horsman (of the apocalypse) that fight for the caster (triggered, polar offset unit creation dependant on level of ability for caster, immolation ability for fires could also increase in damage per level)

rather hard to come up with "original" spell/hero ideas but a good way to come up with them is to think of "eye candy" and then build effects around what you would think something would be cool looking, at least that's how I do it and it helps a lot

    Looks like Google fixed whatever mistake that made the recipes on the site go crazy and we are no longer trending towards a recipe site lol - I don't care though because it motivated me to spend alot of time on the site improving it and at least now the content people are looking at is not stupid and embarrassing like it was when I first got back into this like 5 years ago.
